The funny farm was a beautiful farmhouse in Collingwood that my father’s good friend Patrick Hengen owned. We would go up there quite often over the winters to go Skiing. I was the proverbial token child and got to experience what the late 60’s early 70’s had created, they had pinball machines, the first VCR, an old wooden bar and cash register and all the musical instruments that you’d ever want to see. the whole place was covered with Patina, a glaze of history and fun. Many good times had there and many great memories. I balled my eyes out when Pat sold the farm when I was about 15 years old.
