A New 10-Year Housing and Homelessness Plan for Grey County
Grey County Council has endorsed a new 10-Year Housing and Homelessness Strategy to guide work from 2026 to 2035. The plan, called Grey County: Colour It Home, was developed through a housing needs assessment, environmental scan, focus groups with service providers, and input from people with lived experience.
The strategy centres on three key priorities:
- Creating new affordable and supportive housing
- Supporting a strong community housing sector
- Strengthening the homelessness system to reduce chronic homelessness
Share the Road: Farm Vehicle Safety
Although wet conditions delayed the planting season, farm vehicles are now on the move across Grey County. The county is reminding motorists to share the road safely. Spring and fall public safety radio announcements are airing to encourage safe driving behaviour and remind the community about agriculture’s important role in the local economy.
