Wasaga Beach may be best known for its summer season, but April brings family-friendly fun and community events worth the drive. Here is what is happening in Wasaga Beach this month.
Easter Eggstravaganza
Sunday, April 5 – 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wasaga Beach RecPlex
The Town of Wasaga Beach’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza returns with a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory theme. Hidden among thousands of colourful Easter eggs will be 20 Golden Tickets – and lucky hunters who find one win a large chocolate bunny prize handcrafted by The Candy Factory.
The egg hunt begins at 11:00 AM with separate areas for Little Bunnies (ages 0 to 6) and Big Bunnies (ages 7 and up). Bring your own basket.
Also included:
- Interactive stage performances with prizes
- Craft tent with egg painting and colouring contests
- Inflatables, face painting and a petting zoo
- Photo booth with the Easter Bunny
- Spring Market featuring local vendors (presented by Wasaga Beach Farmers Market)
Docs On Ice 2026
April 9 to 10
The annual Docs On Ice physician hockey tournament brings more than 800 doctors from across Ontario to arenas in Wasaga Beach (along with Collingwood, Stayner, Creemore, Thornbury and Meaford). Founded in 1983, this is one of Canada’s longest-running physician gatherings featuring competitive hockey, networking and fundraising for local charities.
