Docs On Ice 2026 - Physician Hockey Tournament

April 9 to 10

One of Canada’s longest-running physician gatherings comes to the Georgian Bay region. More than 800 doctors from across Ontario hit the ice in arenas across Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Stayner, Creemore, Thornbury and Meaford for competitive hockey, networking and fundraising for local charities. Founded in 1983, Docs On Ice is hosted in a different Ontario community each year.

Saturday, April 11 – 1:00 to 3:30 PM

Navigating the healthcare system can be challenging, and this free expo at the Collingwood Public Library connects residents with local healthcare organizations. Meet providers offering resources for mental health, diabetes care, disability services, healthy aging, cancer screening, palliative care and more. Drop in on the third floor, Community Room B and C.

6 Scenes and a Cup of Tea – April 12
Presented by Gaslight Community Theatre, enjoy an intimate afternoon of staged readings featuring six original short scenes by local writers. Each performance is followed by a talk-back hosted by acclaimed author Dan Needles. Tickets from $20.50.

The Last Launch: The Rise and Fall of Collship – April 13, 6:30 to 8:30 PM
A docuseries screening about the Collingwood Shipyards and its history in the community – from its early beginnings through its rise and eventual closure. A must-see for anyone interested in local history. Tickets from $13.54.

Sing and Celebrate - What a Wonderful World

Monday, April 13 – 6:00 to 8:30 PM

A volunteer appreciation sing-along at Harbour Street Fish Bar (10 Keith Ave). BAVA and Choir Revolution team up for this guided group singing event themed Songs of Hope and Light. Wear swag from a charity you support for a chance to win prizes. Doors open at 6:00 PM, singing from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Tickets are $20 ($5 discount for volunteers with code BAVA).

Bowl for Kids Sake - 46th Annual

April 16 to 17 at Georgian Bowl

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey, Bruce and West Simcoe brings the 46th Annual Bowl for Kids Sake to Georgian Bowl on Hurontario Street. This year’s retro 1980s theme keeps the fun going with bowling, prizes and fundraising for free youth mentorship programs. Bowl on April 16 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM or April 17 from 5:00 to 10:00 PM.
